Ayurvedic Ginger Remedy

I started taking ginger shots a few years ago before I understood the depths of Ayurveda and why a ginger shot would improve my overall health. I knew is tasted good and felt good.

This simple ginger, lime and honey remedy will help you stay healthy during the winter months, Make a batch of this regularly and keep in the fridge.


250g fresh ginger

6 limes

6 tsp of honey 

3 tsp brown sugar 

Up to 500ml of water.


  1. Cut and peel 250g of fresh ginger 

  2. Blend with one cup of water. 

  3. Squeeze out the juice from limes into the ginger mixture. 

  4. Add 6 teaspoons of honey and 3 teaspoons of brown sugar

  5. Add up to 500ml of water - blend. 

  6. To drink mix ¼ cup of mixture with ¼ cup of hot water.

    This blend will keep up to 2 weeks in the fridge. 

Take this remedy after meals rather than on an empty stomach as the ginger is heating.
