Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Vinyasa is sanskrit for Flow. The sequence changes, each class is different but will include a lot of the same poses. The yoga postures flow in a continuous movement from one posture the next, linking each posture to the breath.
Yin yoga targets the connective tissue around the joints, uses props and attention to the breath. Most postures are held for longer periods of time (1-10 minutes). The body moves slowly into postures. This is a slow. quiet, meditative practice. Simple & magic but not necessarily easy!
Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra
Simply Restorative - slow paced style of yoga that’s extremely calming for the mind, body and nervous system. Restorative yoga makes use of props to support the body as it relaxes into poses over the course of several minutes.
Yoga Nidra means Yogic Sleep, it is a state of conscious deep sleep. 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra is the equivalent of 3-4 hours of deep sleep
‘Doing nothing’ in our society today rarely happens, life is hectic, chaotic, fast paced and accessible. When was the last time you took time to rest? Which didn’t involved a reading a book, watching TV, or sleeping. Yoga Nidra is a guided class of complete relaxation. It can be anywhere for 10 minutes – 40 minutes long, you are guided through a yogic-sleep where you will be completely relaxed but totally aware.
