RESET + RESTORE with Yoga + Ayurveda

A 6 Week Group Program starting in January 2019

Do you feel you are always rushing? Do you feel stressed, overwhelmed, tired?

Are you concerned about your weight or just not feeling your best?

Are you confused about what to eat, what supplements to take?

Do you have symptoms you want to address?

You know you want a healthier lifestyle but perhaps you’ve tried the gym, juice cleanse, fad diets and just not found the right thing for you?

This is a 6 week group coaching program to help you

map out and discover YOUR healthiest way of living.

Being Healthy doesn’t have to be hard. We are all different, we have different responsibilities, different tastes and our diet and lifestyle choices will reflect that. This is not a diet. This is not about restriction. And it’s not a one size fits all.

We’ll navigate the world of conflicting nutrition and health advice to explore what truly works for you. There are so many tools to help improve your life. Yoga is not just a class you take part in each week, Ayurveda is not a fad or restrictive diet - it’s a way of life, leaving you feeling satisfied after a meal, energised. It’s about looking at the person - YOU as a whole.

AYURVEDA

Ayurveda is translated as the science of life (‘ayu’, meaning ‘life’, and ‘veda’, meaning ‘knowledge.’). Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old medical healthcare system which is a sister science to yoga. Ayurveda is the Vedic system developed specifically for healing purposes. It is believed to be the oldest medical system (older even than Traditional Chinese Medicine).

It’s not just a system of medicine, it’s a way of life.

Through food, herbs, spices, tuning into natural seasons and rhythms, Ayurveda aims to catch and prevent imbalances before they develop into disease. Ayurvedic is focussed on improving the digestion to help nourish the tissues, calm the mind, feel satisfied and energised.

We’ll explore how we are affected by the foods we eat, our lifestyle, and environment. We’re all different, unique and our diet and lifestyle reflect this. There is no deprivation, no hunger, no side effects. It’s a natural and time tested ‘science of life’.

This is about listening to precisely what your body needs and recommending small simple changes to help you create more balance within your own unique constitution and develop habits to improve your health and promote longevity.

YOGA

Yoga, like Ayurveda is 5,000 years old. Yoga + Ayurveda are very much intertwined. Yoga is much more than a form of exercise, movement is a small part of yoga. We commonly identify Yoga teachers as those who offer asana (postures) classes. Classical Yoga that is defined primarily in terms of spiritual practice and deep meditation (known as Sadhana and Samadhi). View your yoga practice as a way to help you cope with stresses and strains of your daily life (don’t worry if you’ve never practiced before and don’t take my word for it. Yoga is an experiential practice, practice and you’ll feel the difference in your mind, body and energy)

The term Yoga itself means to unite, combine, harmonise, or integrate. It’s about looking at the physical body, energy, breath, senses, mind, and consciousness.

Throughout the program we’ll move through a yoga practice each week and cover themes such as;

  • Grounding - learning how to connect with a yoga practice, to bring yourself out of feeling anxious, overwhelmed.

  • Improving Digestion - moving through twists and postures which will help to stimulate our internal fire

  • The Elements - Air, Space, Fire, Water, Earth - three doshas and five elements to help you develop a deeper understanding of Ayurveda and how you can identify your imbalances and natural constitution.

  • Rest and Restore - Learning how to slow down through restorative and relaxation practices, deal with stress and anxiety

  • and much more . . .

No yoga experience necessary, suitable for all levels

We all want to feel our best, we often feel motivated by New Year, a fresh start.
